When you should use this chart

• Marks values as dots instead of bars – noticeably calmer and more compact with many categories
• Several dots per row enable compact multi-comparisons, e.g. approval by party, split by East and West
• Since no area is filled "from zero", the axis may be cropped – revealing small differences that bars would swallow
